Our August client of the month is Karen Kerr! Karen has been single parenting for the past 6 months and despite this, she has still managed to be consistent with her training. She says it’s for her mental health and a break from the hectic that is looking after 2 boys on your own and working full time. Karen is now moving away from Canberra and we will miss seeing her smiling, bubbly face at training. Well done Karen!
What made you decide to join Canberra Fitness Centre?
I joined because of the mums and bubs classes, plus my good friend Ianthea was a trainer.
What changes have you noticed since you started training with us?
I am so much stronger! I never thought of myself as strong, but now I am lifting so much more weight than I thought I ever could.
What has been the best part of your experience at Canberra Fitness Centre thus far?
The community, it really is no judgment and full of encouragement. When I am at a session I feel like the group is all in on the session together and that pushes you through.
What would you say to anyone who is contemplating joining Canberra Fitness Centre?
Give it a go! There are not many gyms out there with a community like this.
What is the biggest tip and/or tips you could give someone looking to improve their health and wellness?
Recognise you will have good and bad days. Then know that just because you have a bad day (I have sooooo many) it doesn’t mean you give up, you make it to the next day and hopefully it is a good one
